Akshara Kids ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting the privacy of the children and families who use our application. This Privacy Policy explains our data practices for the Akshara Kids mobile application.

1. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR-K Compliance)

Akshara Kids is a "Made for Families" app. We take the following measures to protect children's privacy:

• We do not collect any personally identifiable information (PII) from children, such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
• We do not collect the Advertising ID (AD_ID) from children's devices. We have explicitly disabled this in our application configuration to ensure compliance with the Google Play Families Policy.
• We comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for kids.

2. Information We Collect Automatically

To improve the learning experience, we use third-party tools that collect limited, non-personal information:

• Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics: We collect anonymous usage data (e.g., which lessons are popular) and crash reports to fix bugs. This data is not linked to any individual child or personal identity.
• Device Information: We may collect non-identifying information like device model and OS version to optimize performance.

3. Advertising

We use Google AdMob to show ads. To comply with strict kids' policies:

• All ads are restricted to G-rating (General Audience).
• We have enabled Child-Directed Treatment for all ad requests.
• Interest-based and Behavioral advertising is disabled. Ads are shown based on the context of the app, not user behavior or personal profiles.

4. Parental Controls

Certain features, such as external links, settings, or leaderboard opt-ins, are protected by a Parental Gate (a randomized math challenge) to ensure that only adults can access them.
